One of my favourite wedding shoots last year (2024) was definitely that of Sian & Dave, for a few reasons. One was that they were friends-of-a-friend who had been let down by a “family” photographer – we’d met before and always got on.
Second was that their wedding was super low-key: small guest list, minimal flair – but lots of love!
And third, it was in St. George’s Hall, such an iconic Liverpool venue – not only for weddings but as a piece of landmark architecture – it’s the first building you see when you come out of Lime Street Station, I used to work next door, and it looks absolutely boss.
Another plus for a St George’s Hall wedding – it looks amazing!

As mentioned, Sian & Dave’s big day had a smaller guest-list – which gave them plenty of opportunities to actually see and chat to their guests, something a lot of couples don’t get round to doing.

One thing S&D’s wedding wasn’t short on was style – to get from St. George’s Hall to their reception at The Florist, they had their own double decker bus! And (somehow, on a wedding day) there was a little bit of time to kill, resulting in a private tour around the city. Lots of time to chat and laugh and hug on the way there – the bus was a perfect option.
